Data sources
Anime Arcane uses data provided by third-party services including AniList and, where appropriate, Jikan, alongside our own original editorial content.
AniList
General anime information — such as titles, synopses, episode counts, airing details, genres, studios, characters, cover and banner artwork, and community scores — is provided by the AniList API. Anime Arcane is not affiliated with or endorsed by AniList. Scores labelled “AniList Score” are AniList community averages, not Anime Arcane ratings.
Jikan
In limited cases where information is unavailable from AniList, we may use Jikan, an unofficial MyAnimeList API. Anime Arcane is not affiliated with or endorsed by MyAnimeList or Jikan.
Gaming data: RAWG
Game information on our Gaming pages, such as titles, descriptions, release dates, platforms, genres, developers, publishers, store links, screenshots and key art, is provided by the RAWG Video Games Database API. Anime Arcane is not affiliated with or endorsed by RAWG. Scores labelled “RAWG Rating” are RAWG community ratings and “Metacritic” scores come from Metacritic via RAWG; neither is an Anime Arcane rating. Store links point to the stores themselves; Anime Arcane does not sell games.
Anime Arcane editorial
Reviews, “Anime Arcane Review” scores, recommendations (such as Must Watch or Underrated), editorial summaries, curated picks (such as Anime Arcane Picks and Anime Games), links between games and anime, news and articles are original Anime Arcane content published through our own CMS.
Artwork & trailers
Cover art, banners and other images supplied by third-party services remain the property of their respective rights holders. Trailers are embedded from their original video platforms and are not hosted by Anime Arcane.
